We were deeply saddened to learn that Envestnet’s Chairman and CEO Jud Bergman and his wife Mary passed away in a tragic automobile accident in San Francisco. We’ll be honoring them with words and a moment of silence this morning at the Fearless Investing Summit, and below are statements from Lori and Aaron.
Statement from Lori Hardwick, Chairman of Riskalyze
Jud Bergman was a visionary and trailblazer whose impact is seen and felt in every facet of the wealth management community. I’m personally devastated by this news, and will always remember Jud as the independent and free spirit genius who personally influenced me to achieve my true potential. He inspired one of the most influential and successful fintech platforms to date because he wasn’t afraid to imagine what could be. My thoughts and prayers are with his children and his family as we mourn with the Envestnet community. He will be truly missed.
Statement from Aaron Klein, CEO of Riskalyze
The Riskalyze family is deeply saddened by the passing of Envestnet Chairman and CEO Jud Bergman and his wife, Mary. Jud’s vision and innovation forever changed the face of the financial services industry, and will continue to do so for years to come. Our community will always remember him as a warm, caring individual whose genius lives on in the company he founded and the lives he influenced. Our hearts go out to the 3,000+ members of the Envestnet community and the beloved family he leaves behind.
